Registration Now Open for the 2026-2027 MCHL Seeding Tournament!

The Metro Columbus Hockey League is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026-2027 MCHL Seeding Tournament!

The Seeding Tournament serves as the official kickoff to the MCHL season and helps ensure teams are placed in the most competitive divisions possible before regular season play begins. With teams from across Central Ohio participating, it's a great opportunity to get meaningful games on the calendar, evaluate your roster, and prepare for the season ahead.

Tournament Details

Dates: August 29-30, 2026

Cost: $450 per team

Locations: Chiller Easton & Chiller North

Why Participate?

The MCHL seeding process is designed to create balanced and competitive divisions for the regular season. Tournament results are used alongside team evaluations to place teams with opponents of similar skill levels, creating a better experience for players, coaches, and families throughout the season.

Participating teams will receive multiple competitive games against travel hockey programs from around the region, providing valuable early-season development and benchmarking opportunities.

Tournament Format

The seeding tournament is focused on evaluation and competitive balance rather than standings or championships. Games are played using a running-clock format designed to maximize ice utilization and keep the tournament on schedule. Sportsmanship, player development, and fair competition remain the primary goals throughout the weekend.

Register Early

Ice slots are limited, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams planning to participate in the 2026-2027 MCHL season are strongly encouraged to register early to secure their place in the tournament.
